What is BPC-157

BPC-157 (Body Protective Compound) is a synthetic peptide composed of 15 amino acids, derived from a protein naturally present in human gastric secretion. It has been studied in the scientific literature for its potential to accelerate the regeneration of various types of tissues, including muscles, ligaments, tendons, the nervous system and blood vessels. At the molecular level, it is a stable pentadecapeptide, the biological activity of which has been tested primarily in animal models. The results indicate its ability to support angiogenesis, regulate inflammatory processes and improve cell renewal in various systems of the body.

Researched effects and interesting facts

  • Tissue regeneration: accelerated healing of tendons, muscles, ligaments and bones
  • Angiogenesis: support for the formation of new blood vessels and better circulation in damaged areas
  • Anti-inflammatory effects: reduction of inflammation and oxidative stress in local and systemic conditions
  • GIT protection: restoration of the gastric mucosa and prevention of ulcerations
  • Neuroregeneration: potential for peripheral nerve regeneration and neuroprotective effects

How does BPC-157 work?

BPC-157 acts mainly through interaction with endothelial and nerve receptors. It increases the expression of VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor), thereby promoting healing and vascularization of injured tissues. In some models, it has been shown to regulate oxidative stress and reduce TNF-α and IL-6. Effects have also been observed in the gastrointestinal tract, where it promotes mucosal repair and ulceration regeneration. In the nervous system, its effect on neuron protection and stress resilience is being studied.

Dosage in studies

The values given come from exclusively from research studies. Not intended for real-world use outside of a laboratory setting.
  • Dose: 200–800 μg daily
  • Form: subcutaneous or intramuscular, topical
  • Frequency: 1–2× daily
  • Duration: 2–4 weeks according to protocol

BPC-157 is a synthetic peptide derived from a protein fragment found in human gastric secretion. Scientifically studied for its regenerative and anti-inflammatory properties, particularly in the areas of tissue healing and vascular repair.
For diluting lyophilized peptide powders, use a sterile, suitable solvent such as bacteriostatic water (BAC), which helps maintain stability and reduce contamination risk. For convenient dosing and safe handling, see Bacteriostatic water – 10 ml.
